We, the undersigned, call on Derbyshire County Council to:
Undertake a speed survey and road safety assessment of Storforth Lane specifically from the junction with The Green down to the Railway Bridge. To include an assessment of vehicle speeds, traffic volumes, and personal injury collision history from the last 10 years. Specifically to record 85th percentile vehicle speeds, traffic volumes and the proportion of vehicles exceeding the speed limit.
We request that Derbyshire County Council share the results of that survey with the undersigned in writing.
We also call on Derbyshire County Council to outline what measures it will put in place to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety including speed enforcement if the evidence supports it. We also request that our concerns are recorded as formal road safety complaints.
