So, welcome to this week’s video updating you on some of what’s been going on in Parliament and back in the Constituency. Here’s what I’ve been up to since last time.
I attended the joint Environmental Select Committees session with the preferred candidate for the new Chair of the Office for Environmental Protection, Dame Helen Ghosh.
I contributed to a panel event at the New Statesman Energy and Climate Change Conference on how nature can drive national renewal and growth.
I attended a drop-in to hear about the impact of cross boarder taxi licensing on safety within the taxi industry and I had a meeting with Derby and Derbyshire Local Medical Council officers to discuss the latest issues in the primary care world.
Looking at the world from a new angle. I went along to Spectrum Freight to discuss the issues facing the haulage industry in terms of both recruitment and the costs of doing business and I marched behind the Chesterfield Labour Party banner at the Town’s famous annual May Day march.
