So, here’s my latest report on what’s been going on down here in Parliament and back up home in Chesterfield.
I had a question to the Cabinet Office Minister where I asked whether he would ensure that Government car hire procurement use the number of electric vehicles that the Fleet Sector is supposed to.
I provided the keynote speech at the PFAS Conference at the National Brownfield Institute at the University of Wolverhampton.
I Chaired the latest meeting of the Environmental Audit Committee which was the opening session of our air pollution enquiry on the 75th anniversary of the Clean Air Act.
I spoke on a panel about planning as an enabler for growth at the National Housing Federation Development and Regeneration Conference.
I delivered a statement on the floor of the House and took questions on the Environmental Audit Committee’s most recent report into the impact of PFAS – otherwise known as forever chemicals – on the environment.
I visited Chesterfield mechanical ramp manufacturer, Thorworld to discuss the impact of steel tariffs on their competitiveness on the international stage and I visited Holme Hall Primary School to discuss the groundbreaking work that they’ve been doing on special needs and to hear about the great progress the school is making and I attended a coffee morning at Chesterfield Labour Club in support of the Aspire Children’s Fund hearing from two local charities doing great work to support children in our community.
Thanks so much for watching. See you next week.
