“I want to thank everyone who has contacted me regarding the winter fuel allowance. I had raised concerns about the potential impact on them and I am pleased that the Government has today announced they will be extending Winter Fuel Allowance eligibility to all pensioners with an annual income of less than £35,000. This means over 75% of pensioners will receive the Winter Fuel Allowance this winter.
